The Genesis of My Design

I began my journey as a designer through my musical project. Today, I'm a touring music producer who goes by DeemZoo. I've reached a point where I have the honor and privilege to travel to the edges of the world to showcase my original music to fans across our planet. It’s been a long, bumpy road, and when I first got started, I was broke and didn’t have the means to hire professional designers and artists to create my logo, design my cover art, or build my overall brand identity. I began doing everything on my own, learning the basic fundamentals of graphic design, typography, and color theory, which brought everything together. Other artists started noticing my progression and eventually hired me for their brands, and the rest is history.

This endeavor eventually led me into web design, as I was hired by a real estate brokerage to handle their social media, graphic design, and, eventually, to build numerous websites for the various entities under their larger umbrella. This led me to learn UI and UX, along with minor coding, which propelled my skills and trade to the next level.

New Chapter

I am one of those individuals who never stops learning. I stay up until 3 or 4 AM almost every night, bettering my craft and sitting in the front seat of my next journey. As much as I love traveling for music, my life is changing, and as the head of my household, it’s my duty to be home to help with our growing family. I need to be home for my wife, my animals, and our son, who is only a few months away from being here with us. They deserve my undivided attention, which is why I’m pivoting my focus into full-time design, branding, and content creation. All are skills and trades that can be done from the comfort of our beautiful home.

The WHY

One hundred percent of my drive and determination derives from ensuring my family is happy and comfortable. We are expecting our firstborn at the beginning of the new year, and my motivation has never been more significant. I say this because I stop at nothing until you, too, are happy with my work. I take pride in knowing that my work will be carried on for decades to come with both of our legacies attached to it, albeit on different ends.

The how

I start all my projects the same, whether you are rebranding, wanting a website or logo, need better blog posts and SEO for your digital footprint, or want to get acquainted with automation and artificial intelligence. I find out your motives. I find out your drive. I find your vision deep within your mind and imagination. All non-designers have it in them to envision how they want their brand to manifest and how they want it to look and be placed across every platform imaginable.

I take a deep dive into your industry, and I become acquainted with the ins and outs all the way to the areas where only lived experience can provide insight. I use what I learn about you and your industry to audit your competition, see what they are doing right, and identify how we can take their strategies and do them better with our own style and twist that is unrecognizable to everyone else.

This is where I differ from any other professional designer. My approach is customized and the furthest from anything you have seen. At first, my ideas might seem out of the ordinary, but it is that level of awareness and confidence that allows me to create marks that are in a league and brand of their own. I take pride in this, and I am certain you will feel the same way once your vision is completed.
